Diagnosis: Body elongate. Mandibles exposed. Clypeus densely punctate, not rugose or setose. Metatibia
with apical spurs not separated by tarsus. Flight wings lacking. |

Remarks: This genus is monotypic and endemic to the study region. Amerisaprus appears most closely
related to the genus Saprus Blackburn in Australia. It is likely that further collecting by sifting and use of the
Berlese funnel will yield more records for this rare genus. |
