Description:
Amorim MCF, Paulsen MJ, Figueroa L, Grossi PC. 2026. A surprising new fightless stag beetle (Coleoptera: Lucanidae: Lucaninae) genus and species from Peru. Insecta Mundi 1169: 1–12.
Remarks: This newly discovered species is found at very high elevation (3700-4000 m). This region is poorly explored and more undescribed species of Orotrupes are likely to be found.
