Distribution:

|
The vittate flightless stag beetle is distributed in central Chile. The nominate subspecies is found in the coastal mountains near Concepción, with E. v. magnificus restricted to the Maulino forest farther north.

|
Remarks:
|
|
The two subspecies differ in leg color, elytral scale, color and the presence or absence of scales from the humerus to the scutellum.
