|
The magellanic flightless stag beetle has an enormous distribution of over 1200 miles (2000 km) in the Magellanic forests of Patagonia. This species is the most southernly distributed stag beetle in the world. It is the largest species of Erichius.

This species was previously confused with E. darwinii, in part (Weinreich 1958).
