Remarks:

 

This species is under considerable peril due to introduced rodents, and is possibly nearing extinction. The acute apex of the elytra of the holotype specimen is not seen in any other specimens and is not a character associated with this species. The external tooth on the middle and hind tibiae is unique to this species.
