She studied the taxonomy and phylogeny of the bumble bee scarabs (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea: Melolonthinae: Lichniini).  Thesis title: "A Revision of the Chilean tribe Lichniini Chapin, 1938 (Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae)".

Matt Paulsen graduation M. J. Paulsen received his PhD. in Entomology at the University of Nebraska in August 2006. For his Ph.D. research, he revised the genus Pycnosiphorus, a group of South American stag beetles.
   
Julia Colby graduation Julia Colby, with co-advisors Mary Liz Jameson and Brett C. Ratcliffe, graduated with her M.S. degree on 10 May 2008. Julia's thesis was entitled "Revision of the genus Aegidinus Arrow (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Orphninae) and phylogeny of the world genera of
Orphninae."
