Type species. Napoa peckorum Stebnicka 1999: 291, by original designation.

 
 
Diagnosis. Body length 5.0-5.2 mm, oval, plump, black. Head broad. Pronotum explanate, with notch near posterior angle. Elytra coarsely sculptured, almost tuberculate. Mesosternum with large pits. Mesocoxae widely separated. Meso- and metatarsi with basal segment as long as remainder of tarsus, setose.
 
 
 
 
 
Distribution. Colombia, Ecuador, Peru.
 
Composition. Napoa contains a single species.

Life History. Types collected in broken termite nest (Stebnicka 1999, 2007). Other have been collected in leaf litter of a “fruit fall”.
