Type species. Euparia costulata Harold 1867: 82, by original designation.
|
|
Diagnosis. Body length 4.3-5.2 mm, elongate oval to distinctly oval, reddish-brown to nearly black, dorsal surface usually setose. Head smooth. Clypeus rounded each side of median emargination, margin smooth. Pronotum broad, sides explanate anteriorly; lateral edge with distinct fringe of setae, evenly arcuate to posterior angles. Elytra sharply inflexed laterally at interval 8; striae weakly punctured. Mesocoxae widely separated, parallel, flattened, touching elytra near base. Meso- and metatibia apparently with 2 terminal spurs. Meso- and metatarsi slender. |

Composition. Lomanoxia contains 7 species.

Life History. All available data indicate Lomanoxia are associated with leaf-cutter ants (Atta spp.) (Stebnicka 2007). |
