Type species. Euparixoides cribratus Hinton 1936: 275, by monotypy.

|
Diagnosis. Body length 3.8-4.0 mm, elongate, appearing constricted at middle, dark reddish-brown. Head smooth. Clypeus rounded each side of median emargination, margin finely serrate. Pronotum broad, sides explanate, lateral edge finely serrate and usually sinuate with prominent posterior angles, lateral margin lacking fringe of setae. Elytra roundly inflexed laterally at intervals 8-9; striae strongly punctured. Mesocoxae widely separated, parallel, flattened, touching elytra near base. Meso- and metatibia apparently with a single terminal spur, second spur greatly reduced. Meso- and metatarsi tapering, short, half tibial length. |

Composition. Euparixoides contains 5 species.
Euparixoides araguaensis Stebnicka and Skelley 2005: 27-28, Venezuela.
Euparixoides cribratus Hinton 1936: 275, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama.
Euparixoides johnsoni Stebnicka 1998: 195-197, Brazil (Amazonas), Peru (Tambopata).
Euparixoides papilio Stebnicka and Skelley 2005: 25-26, Costa Rica.
Euparixoides tachirensis Stebnicka and Skelley 2005: 26-27, Venezuela. |

Life History. Known specimens of Euparixoides lack biological data, most having been collected in various passive traps or leaf litter. Based on their morphology and apparently similarity with Euparixia, they are suspected to live with ants. |
