Life History. Members of Auperia appear to be detritivores. Some members appear to be arboreal litter specialists, like A. denominata, having been collected in numbers from tree squirrel leaf nests (Smith 2005), and A. waoraniae and A. tectipennis being collected while canopy fogging (Stebnicka and Skelley 2005). Others have been collected from rich ground-level leaf litter (ex label data). Many specimens were collected at light. |
