Thamyrys is a Brazilian biologist interested in the morphology, behavior, ecology, and evolution of Dynastinae and Scarabaeinae. For her Masters degree, she conducted research on the immature taxonomy and behavior of Cyclocephala species, and for PhD she studied morphological and functional variations of Scarabaeinae in human-modified landscapes.
