Thaynara Pacheco is a M.S. student in Zoology at the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, Brazil.  Her undergraduate monograph was an inventory of the Phanaeini (Scarabaeinae) of Roraima state, northern Brazil. Currently she is working on the taxonomic revision of the genus Paracanthon (Scarabaeinae). She is especially interested in taxonomy, systematics and biogeography of Scarabaeinae with emphasis on the tribes Phanaeini and Coprini.
