Sergei is a post-graduated student in the Laboratory of Entomology of the Institute of Biology and Soil Science (Vladivostok) in the Far Eastern branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is interested is the systematics, taxonomy, larval morphology, biology, and ecology of Scaraboeidae beetles of the Russian Far East and adjoining regions.
