Observing Lepidiota sp. at ICAR-Ramie Research Station, Sorbhog, Assam, India.

My research work is on biosystematics and biodiversity of Scarabaeidae with special focus on the tribes Melolonthini, Sericini (Melolonthinae) and Anomalini, Adoretini (Rutelinae),
particularly those of economic importance. I am presently working on species diversity of
Melolonthinae and Rutelinae in south, north and northeast India, biosystematics of
Melolonthinae with special focus on major genera, and the biology, egg morphology, and
larval taxonomy of Melolonthinae and Rutelinae, including molecular characterization of melolonthines and rutelines using mitochondrial COI fragment/gene sequences.
