While the focus of my research is on functional and physiological diversity in scarab beetles, I'm particularly interested on the effects of anthropogenic semiochemicals such macrocyclic lactones on the attraction of dung beetles. In essence, I'm interested in seeing how antiparasitic residues in herbivore dung could act as a hypnotic attractant to dung beetles and the ecological consequences this could bring.
