Luis Joly is a professor at the
Universidad Central de Venezuela in Maracay where he is the
Director of the Museum. The insect collections in this
museum are the largest in Venezuela. He is a specialist on Scarabaeidae,
especially Dynastinae, but also publishes on other groups of
Venezuelana insects. Luis is curently involved in thoroughly
documenting the Dynastinae of Venezuela.
