Lilia Akhmetova is a research entomologist at the Zoological Institute, Saint-Petersburg, Russia, where she was awarded her doctorate in 2011. Her research interests are mostly focused on the Aphodiinae, mostly on the genus Aphodius
occurring in Russia and surrounding countries.
