I am from Colombia, and my bachelor degree was in Biology at the Universidad
INCCA de Colombia, Bogotá. I did my postgraduate studies (M.Sc D.Sc) in
Entomology at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Currently (2020), I am Ph.D. student at the Sorbonne Université and Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France.

My research interests are focus on systematics and evolution, museomics,
mitogenome evolution, reproductive system of insects, including spermatozoa of Coleoptera. In my research projects, I use different histology and microscopy technologies, comparative morphology and anatomy, and cellular and molecular approaches. I would like to integrate all these skills to do integrative studies. I have special interest in Passalidae, but I also work with other Coleoptera families. During my ungraduated work, I studied the genus Veturius (Passalidae) in Colombia. From this work, I described new species and new records to Colombia. In my studies in Brazil, I focused on the cellular biology of male and female reproductive systems and spermatozoa.
