Mr. Malqin is working for his Ph.D. in the the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. He works under the supervision of Professor Xing-Ke YANG and Dr. Ming BAI. His research interests center on the morphology and evolution of Scarabaeinae, including comparative and functional morphology of Coleoptera. He has had extensive field experience in Inner Mongolia from 2007-2010.
