Biological
Data: Probably feed on leaves of Liquidambar or Quercus.
Larvae live in rotten logs of Liquidambar styraciflua, Alnus arguta,
and Quercus spp. and have been found in combination with
larvae of Chrysina macropus, Chrysina prasina, and Macraspis
lucida. Larvae may have a 2 year life cycle. Larvae generally emerge
in April or May.
