Distribution:
Eastern United States: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin.

Remarks: Part
of the P. fraterna complex; similar in form to P.
fraterna, P. hirticula, P. foxii, and P.
paternoi. Small (15.2-18.5mm), reddish, glabrous.
|
|
|
|
Biological data: Can be abundant and dense in the southeastern states where it can be injurious to crops.
|
|
|
Temporal distribution: Adult
emergence in the southern states begins in late March or early
April and continues into June and July in northern states.
|
|
|
