Distribution: Spotty distribution throughout central United States: Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee.

 
 
 

Remarks: Part of the P. fraterna complex; similar in form to P. fraterna, P. hirticula, P. foxii, P. paternoi, P. pseudofloridana, and P.forsteri; can be distinguished by the small erect greyish/yellowish hairs covering the elytra. Small (16-16.5cm), brown, shiny, with asymmetric male genitalia characteristic of the P. fraterna group.

 
 
 
 
 

Biological data: Phyllophaga delata is relatively rare; in localities where collections occur they are normally minimal consisting of only a few individuals.

 
 
 

Temporal distribution: Adult emergence occurs from the middle of April through June.
