Distribution:
Central eastern and midwestern US distribution: Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas.
Remarks: Like many Phyllophaga species, P. bipartita is small (15-19mm), glabrous, brown, and difficult to identify without looking at the genitalia. The male and female genitalia are distinct, however, the left paramere of the male can be quite variable with some specimens lacking the hamate process altogether, having a "full" rounded paramere.

Biological data: Phyllophaga bipartita has a 2-3 year life cycle, can be very abundant, and is a known pest of pecan trees.
Temporal distribution: Adult emergence can occur as early as March and continue into August.
