Distribution: Mexico. (Morón 1995; Hwang 2011; Ratcliffe et al. 2013).

Identification: Morón (1995), Hwang (2011), Ratcliffe et al. (2013)

Life History: Morón (1995) reported that G. xiximeca lives in humid pine-oak forests in Sinaloa and Nayarit, Mexico between the elevations of 1,330-1450 m, and we have speciemens from 1,770 m in Nayarit. Morón (1995) noted that most of the specimens in the type series were found feeding on an unidentified, cane-like grass or in flight, and that they were not attracted to a mercury vapor light trap. (Ratcliffe et al. 2013).
