Distribution: Costa Rica and Panama. Point localities do not seem to overlap with those of G. costaricensis, the most closely related species. (Ratcliffe 2003).

Life History: All of the adults that have been collected were attracted to lights. They have been collected from premontane rain forests, lower montane rain forests, and montane rain forests. Most of the specimens were collected at elevations of 1,250-2,300 meters. One each were collected at elevations of 685meters, 800 meters, and 1,050 meters. (Ratcliffe 2003).
