Type species. Psammodius integer Bates 1887: 104, by original designation.

Diagnosis. Body length 2.5-4.2 mm, more elongate and parallel-sided than typical psammodiines, more robust than typical euparines, reddish-brown to nearly black, dorsal surface glabrous. Head coarsely granulate, frontal suture indistinct. Clypeus toothed each side of median emargination. Pronotum lacking grooves, finely punctate. Elytral base finely margined; intervals convex; finely striate. Metafemur moderately robust. Metatibia with longitudinal row of tubercles; metatibia not, widened at apex. Metatarsi shortened, basal metatarsomere widened at apex. |
