Type species. Aphodius fossulatipennis Balthasar 1945: 44, by monotypy.

Diagnosis. Body length 4-5 mm, elongate, dark brown to black; head, pronotum and elytra densely punctured, dulled, often covered with setae. Head smooth. Clypeus lacking teeth. Pronotum with anterior angles explanate; base with marginal line weak or absent. Elytral humerus dentate; intervals flat. Metatarsal segments distinctly longer than wide. |
