Type species. Aphodius sallei Harold 1863: 336, by original designation.

Diagnosis. Body length 4.5-5.5 mm, ovate, robust, dark brown. Head with tubercles. Clypeus lacking teeth and setal fringe. Elytral striae deep and coarsely puncate. Protibial dorsal surface with indistinct row of punctures. Metatibial apical spinules short and equal in length. |
