Vanessa received her degree in biology in 2009 from the Universidad Nacional de la Amazonia Peruana. Her undergrated thesis addressed dung beetles in white sand forest (varillales) in the National Reserve Allpahuayo-Mishana in Loreto, Peru. She is interested in the ecology, taxonomy, and diversity of dung beetes (Scarabaeniae) and also scarabaeoid diversity in lowland forests in Peru. She has a small collection of dung beetles but is now gathering Dynastinae, Aphodiinae, and Rutelinae. |
