Virginia Canhedo work ed on the taxonomy and acoustic differences of Gryllotalpidae from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil for her M.S. degree. She provided an excellent revision of the genus Anomiopus Westwood (Scarabaeinae) for her PhD
at the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil in 2000, and the revision was published in 2006. She had
two earlier papers published in 2004 on Anomiopus. Tragically, she died at a young age in 2006. |
