the Natural History Museum, July 2016.

Dra. Sara L. Rivera-Gasperín is a Mexican researcher at the Instituto
de Ecología (INECOL), where she was awarded her MS in 2012 working
on a morphological phylogeny of Rhizotrogina and her doctorate in
2017 working on a phylogenetic analysis of the genus Phyllophaga.
Her research interests are mostly focused on the systematics,
taxonomy, and distribution of Melolonthini. Sara is now concerned with
addressing the subgeneric classification of Phyllophaga based on
molecular characters. She also has experience in the scientific
illustration of insects, especially Coleoptera, Hymenoptera and Diptera.
She has illustrated 47 species, of which 26 are new species for
science, and one corresponds to a new genus.
