I am a Brazilian PhD student at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE). I graduated in Agronomy at the Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (UFRA) in 2013 and completed my Master’s in Agricultural Entomology at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (UFRPE) in 2016. I am currently working on the systematics of the Neotropical genus Bothynus Hope, 1837 (Dynastinae: Pentodontini) and also with the taxonomy of adults and immatures from other scarab genera. I have a great interest in beetles, mainly in the biogeography, biology, ecology, taxonomy, and phylogeny of rhinoceros beetle (Dynastinae).
