Dirk Rohwedder

Dirk Rohwedder was born in 1968 in Grevenbroich, Germany and is deaf. He works as a technical assistant in the section of Hymenoptera (and spends much free time with Coleoptera) at the Zoological Research Museum Koenig in Bonn, Germany. 
He has collected beetles of all groups in Central Europe since 1980 and has concentrated on Scarabaeidae since 1992. In 1999 he began a study on the taxonomy of Cetoniinae and Scarabaeinae in Europe, Africa and Asia.
