Composition: 1 species (introduced), about 250 species in the Old World.

 

Remarks: Popillia japonica is considered an agricultural pest in the United States. Beetles are often found in great numbers and often in aggregations. Larvae feed on various plant roots including ornamentals, grasses (including turfgrass), and vegetables.
